Beth Moody (17) said her work tackled the "surreal portrayal of identity" and gender expression.
She said the work was "a bit shocking, a bit weird", but she wanted to make people think.
Moody worked over the weekend, in sometimes inclement weather, but said it had been a fantastic experience, with plenty of interaction with the public. The secondary school pupil finished her work late yesterday afternoon.
Dunedin Street Art Trust member Justin Cashell said he had become aware of Moody’s work through a mutual friend, thought it was "amazing" and wanted to showcase local talent.
He said the completed work was "excellent".
"I’m stoked."
