St John and police were called to the accident in the Mosgiel-Outram Rd about 100m from Riccarton Rd at 12.10pm.
A police media spokeswoman said the woman crashed into a ditch after weaving across the road.
There was no information on what might have caused the driver to weave across the road, she said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The woman was taken to the Dunedin Hospital's emergency department with minor injuries.
