Police are asking residents in the Mornington-Belleknowes area to be vigilant after three incidents of theft were reported this week.
Three vehicles were entered in Meadow St, Jubilee St and Napier St between 8pm Tuesday and 10am yesterday, Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said.
She believed the thieves were targeting electronic devices.
An iPod from one vehicle and a laptop case from the other were removed, she said.
"People living in these areas ... keep an eye out and give us a call if they see anything suspicious,'' Snr Sgt Waru said.
"They need to keep their property locked up and not leave anything in vehicles.''
