School of Design fashion graduate Soohee Moon was one of 200 young designers from throughout the world profiled in the fashion magazine's 2013 emerging designers edition.
It was the fourth consecutive year an Otago graduate had featured in the special edition, and academic leader of fashion Dr Margo Barton said the international acclaim was greatly received.
''We're thrilled to be featured in such a high-calibre publication.
''This is a wonderful achievement for Soohee and will open many doors for her,'' Dr Barton said.
Ms Moon, of Dunedin, graduated from the polytechnic last year and has since been working for a designer in the city.
She has shown her creations at Shanghai Fashion Week and contributed to the design of the new staff uniform at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.
''I feel so privileged to be involved in this publication and I'm very excited about my future in design,'' she said.
''I would like to own my own label one day, so this experience and the exposure is truly amazing.''
Otago Polytechnic has been invited to nominate fashion design graduates for the magazine edition for the past four years.
''To even be invited to submit a portfolio is a significant achievement for any aspiring designer and a major coup for the design school.
''We've had at least one to two graduates feature every year since our first invitation,'' Dr Barton said.
''Looking at the current student work, I'm quite confident we will continue to have success in 2014,'' she said.
