Underground fashion

Finnlay Allerston (17) models an outfit designed by Otago Polytechnic fashion student Korii Adams (21) at the Dungeon Fashion Show held in the basement of the Athenaeum, in the Octagon, on Saturday.

Mr Adams said the inspiration for the outfit was the theme of ``body constriction'', and the experience of people in mental health facilities and in religious orders.

Co-organiser of the show Ruby Harris (17), who was also one of five featured designers, said the show was put on to support the ``young and talented people we know''.

The four organisers are in their last year of secondary school, and it was the first fashion show they had organised. ``We had great feedback and we all enjoyed it.''
