Topping going on

The new Otago Regional Council headquarters, Te Whare Rūnaka, is approaching another milestone with the roofing going on.

The $56million project is due to be completed in just over 12 months and the possession date for the council is August next year.

The 2800sqm of roofing is scheduled to be installed by the start of next month.

The next stage of the project is glazing and cladding the building.

Construction began last year, replacing the former The Warehouse store between Maclaggan and High Sts.

The building is expected to house all regional council staff.
