Three people received minor injuries after two cars were involved in a head-on crash on Mt Cargill Rd near Waitati this evening.
The crash happened near the intersection with Donald's Hill Rd about 5.05pm.
A police spokeswoman said the people were transported by ambulance to hospital, after sustaining shock and whiplash.
The southbound lane of the road was briefly closed.
