Members of churches from the greater Green Island area are warming up for this year’s Christmas carols.

Members from the Anglican, Catholic and Presbyterian churches from the area will fill St Margaret’s Church with song on December 17.

Choir organiser Rodney Clayton said the group had been practising for just two weeks and was coming along well.

He said over the past three years the group had come together before Christmas in preparation for the event and this year they had about 12 people.

Mr Clayton said it was a great event to work towards and a good way to bring together the greater Green Island community.

He encouraged everyone to come along and join in  the singing.

• Nine lessons and carols, St Margaret’s Church, Green Island, Sunday, December 17, 7pm.
