She has supported refugees in Dunedin for about a year.
Dunedin was a good city for displaced people to move to because they arrived knowing they had a tangible future, she said.
''When people arrive they get a hug and all of the help they need.''
Refugee resettlement support volunteer Josh Livingstone said the display aimed to provide the public with information about refugees who came to Dunedin, and what they did here.
In addition to those from Syria, refugees from Palestine, Bhutan Myanmar and other countries also lived in Dunedin, Mr Livingstone said.
