Two students escaped uninjured from a fire in their North Dunedin flat this morning.
Fire crews descended on the Park St property after the blaze broke about 9.15am.
The fire started in the fuse box of the top storey of the two-storey dwelling, then spread into the house's roof cavity, station officer Justin Wafer said.
They were able to extinguish the fire before it spread further.
The students said it appeared the majority of their property was unharmed.
A Fire Service spokesman said an investigator would not be required.
