Student pleads guilty on two drug charges

A  Dunedin student charged with nine drug related offences has pleaded guilty on two cannabis offencesNicholas Peter Heatley, who turned 22 the day before his appearance in the Dunedin District Court today, pleaded not guilty on the seven other charges.

He pleaded guilty on two charges - possessing cannabis for supply in Dunedin on August 11 and selling cannabis in Dunedin between January 5 - August 11.

Other charges include; importing LSD into Auckland on July 31, he faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, and 14 years on a charge of importing MDMA (ecstasy)into Auckland on July 22.

Judge Kevin Phillips remanded him in custody to appear for a jury trial on November 13.
