Shapeshifter has been announced as the second main act for this year's Otago University Students Association's re-orientation line-up.
OUSA president Francisco Hernandez said Shapeshifter was New Zealand's ''premier live drum and bass act'' and OUSA was ''stoked to have them back in Dunedin''.
The event would be held at the Dunedin Town Hall on July 13. Tickets are now available.
''After our sell-out stadium gig at last year's Orientation, we're expecting them to christen the newly-renovated town hall with a style only they can do,'' Mr Hernandez said.
The concert would be open to the public. A select number of student tickets would be pre-allocated ''so we can guarantee a good student showing'', he said.
The Shapeshifter gig joins the Illuminate Paint Party, which features DJs, entertainment - and lots of paint - as the two big events announced for this year's re-orientation.
Shapeshifter will be supported by psychedelic funk rock outfit AHoriBuzz.
