Hundreds of people of all ages attended the South Dunedin community expo, at the Catholic Social Services centre.
More than 20 community groups and organisations displayed their services and wares, ranging from antique toys and collectables to St Clair Girl Guides, Super Grans and the Otago Embroiderers Guild.
The event was organised by South Dunedin Voice, to encourage local residents and the wider community to gather and engage in the south of the city.
''This is a great place to live and we're all proud of South D,'' South Dunedin Voice spokesman Paul Allen said.
''This is about the public and all the different organisations getting together and interacting and building relationships.''
The next South Dunedin Voice event is the South Dunedin Street Festival on November 2.
