The aggravated robbery took place at the Tandooree Garden takeaway on the corner of Prince Albert Rd and Bellona St about 6.20pm yesterday.
Police said a female, believed to 16 or 17 years old, entered the store and presented a knife before stealing a small sum of cash from the till.
The offender was Caucasian, of average height and skinny build, wearing blue jeans, a blue or black hoodie and Ugg boots.
Police interviewed witnesses and staff and a dog unit was in the area last night.
