The Bledisloe Cup arrived in Dunedin yesterday and will be part of the silverware served up at a breakfast for 10 Otago Daily Times readers.

ODT marketing manager Vicki Roach said if readers correctly answered the two Bledisloe Cup-themed questions in the ODT on Saturday and Monday they would be in the draw for five chances to win a breakfast for them and a friend with the Bledisloe Cup at Forsyth Barr Stadium on the morning of the game, Saturday, October 19.

A double pass to the game would be drawn from the entries too, she said.

All Blacks spokeswoman Juli Clausen said the Bledisloe Cup was flown from Wellington to Dunedin yesterday.

There were fewer than 2000 tickets left for the game next Saturday and when the All Blacks ''hit town'' next week. She expected the remaining seats to sell quickly.

''The boys love nothing more than running out in front of a packed house.''

Most of the the All Blacks squad would be welcomed at Dunedin International Airport on Tuesday morning and the Bledisloe Cup and the Webb Ellis Cup trophy would go on tour to Oamaru schools, the Dunedin Botanic Garden, the Waikouaiti Events Centre, the Sports Hall of Fame and the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

Dunedin Rugby Football Club under-9s halfback Ashton Booth (9) said he was unable to lift the ''big and heavy'' cup yesterday.

Pirates Rugby Football Club hooker Cameron Bower (7) said the cup was big enough to hold more than 60 chocolate bars.

Pirates winger Carter Smith (8) said the cup was big enough to hold his younger brother Jonty (5).
