Rugby: Coach victim of car break-in

When things are not going for you, they really are not going for you.

Highlanders coach Glenn Moore had his car broken into outside Carisbrook yesterday morning, and clothes, a computer and a camera with valuable pictures on it were taken.

Moore said someone had used pieces of steel to break side windows on the vehicle parked on Burns St, at 11.33am.

The offender had reached into the car, taken the items and run off.

A video camera caught some of the incident but the offender could not be identified from the footage.

Police were investigating.

Moore said the camera contained family pictures he had taken over Christmas, which held special value.

With his side struggling in the Super 14, and not having had much luck, Moore could do with a pick-up tonight as his side takes on the Hurricanes at Carisbrook.
