The pedestrian overbridge at the Dunedin Railway Station is due to be back in service about midday today, Dunedin City Council projects engineer Evan Matheson said.
The middle section of the overbridge was knocked down by a Port Chalmers shunt train on February 12.
Commuters who park in the harbourside area have since had a longer walk, via the level crossing at St Andrew St.
Mr Matheson said an engineering inspection of work at the site would be completed this morning.
He did not expect any issues and the gates blocking foot traffic should be removed about lunchtime.
