The boutique will open on Monday, stocking a "mish-mash" of women's clothing, footwear, accessories and jewellery.
Items have been sourced from throughout New Zealand and overseas, with a focus on fair trade, vintage, hand-crafted and sustainable products.
The idea had been "bubbling away for a while" but had come together over the past two months in a "whirlwind", Ms Metua said.
The boutique, upstairs at 324 George St, would also stock its own steampunk jewellery label, Romance Rewound.
The pair started crafting pieces from vintage clocks in early 2010 and, with business going well, thought it was the perfect time to expand and encourage other budding designers.
