Police are hunting for two men who fled on foot after the car they were in crashed into a power pole in the Dunedin suburb of Concord this evening.
A police spokeswoman said the car crashed in to the pole on the corner of Stevenson Rd and Orr St just after 6pm.
The two male occupants , who were described as being in their 20s and wearing hoodies, fled in the direction of Corstorphine.
It was believed the car had false plates.
Staff from infrastructure company Delta were called to the scene to inspect the power pole after the crash.
