Police cordoned off a Halfway Bush convenience store and searched the area after an occupant of the store was threatened this morning.
Police were swarming outside the On the Spot Halfway Bush Convenience Store conducting a wide-sweeping search of the area with police dogs.
A police spokeswoman said police responded to an incident at the scene where an offender entered the store and threatened someone in the dairy at 7.50am.
"No one is injured and it appears nothing was taken but CIB are making further enquiries at this time," she said.
The scene was examined by police this morning, she said.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area this morning, or saw anyone fleeing the scene, is asked to contact Dunedin Police.
