Plant giveaway popular

Members of the public help themselves to free plants provided by the Dunedin City Council at Tahuna Park yesterday.

The council was changing garden plots and the discarded bedding plants were free for the taking.

A range of plants was made available, including armeria, campanula, dianthus, chrysanthemums and godetia.

More plants will be available next week, on Monday and Tuesday, from 2.30pm.
