In the pink

Overjoyed to have raised thousands of dollars for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ and holding an appropriately themed cake at their Pink Ribbon High Tea yesterday are the Lindy Chicks (from left) Donna Henderson, Julie Beel, Wendy Fieldwick and Miriam Rose.

Miss Rose said the event at the Civic Hall in Green Island, Dunedin, raised about $6000, all of which would go to the foundation. High teas and breakfasts held by the Lindy Chicks, four friends who "enjoy getting together and having a few Lindauers", have so far raised nearly $20,000 for breast cancer research and patient support.

Yesterday's event was attended by 122 people in the packed and pink-themed hall.
