A Dunedin pensioner was allegedly threatened and forced to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM.
Police have arrested two men in connection with the aggravated robbery of the 79-year-old victim.
The man was in his Mornington home on the night of February 18 when he was visited by the pair, Detective Sergeant Graeme Timms, of Dunedin, said.
The men threatened the man for some time, demanding cash and taking his mobile phone, Det Sgt Timms said.
He confirmed that no weapon was used.
They later forced the man to walk to a nearby ATM in Eglinton Rd, where the men demanded he withdraw a ''quantity of cash'', Det Sgt Timms said.
The pair also threatened the victim with retribution if he went to police, before they left the scene.
Det Sgt Timms confirmed that police had arrested two men at the weekend.
The men, who are in their 20s, were remanded in custody to appear in the Dunedin District Court next month.
