Out on the tiles

 

A mobile crane lifts contractors into position high up at the Dunedin Courthouse complex, to repair roof tiles yesterday morning.

A small one-lane section of lower Stuart St outside the courthouse was closed to traffic for some time early in the morning, including at 9.30am when this photograph was taken.

Ministry of Justice commercial and property general manager Fraser Gibbs said that as well as undertaking repair work, contractors inspected the roof for other wear and tear.

A traffic management plan was in place and had been approved by the Dunedin City Council, Mr Gibbs said.
