The Toyota Talent Tour will spend the next six weeks travelling around New Zealand looking for singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and variety performers for the third series of the talent show.
Glen Douglas (21), of Dunedin, was one of 15 people in line when the auditions opened at 2pm yesterday.
He was confident of putting on a good show with his Michael Jackson dance routine for Blame It On The Boogie.
''It's really nerve-racking, but I've got it down pat so, hopefully, I'll go all right,'' he said.
Mr Douglas also auditioned for the second series, last year, when he sang ''Break Free'', from High School Musical, and hoped that experience would stand him in good stead.
He also had firm plans, if successful, for the New Zealand's Got Talent prize package of $100,000 and a 2013 Toyota RAV4.
''I'd spend some money on Mum and go for a cruise to Auckland.''
Auditions will be held again at Otago Boys' High School from 2pm-8pm today.
