One injured in Broad Bay crash

One person has been injured after their car hit a tree and ended up on its roof at Broad Bay, on Otago Peninsula.

A police spokeswoman said one person was extricated from the car, which had gone off the road on Portobello Rd.

Police were called to the scene at 3.23pm.

A St John spokesman said one person was taken to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.
