The judges at the Voyager Media Awards have now made it official.

Mr Jaquiery, the ODT's long-serving illustrations editor, won the best photography (general) category at the annual awards in Auckland last night.

He collected the award for a portfolio that included an outstanding breaking news photograph of a clifftop rescue, and a picturesque shot of sheep being driven through the snow-covered Lindis Pass.

It was a rewarding night for the ODT's photographic team with Linda Robertson named runner-up in the news and/or sport category.
