Police are appealing for information on the Molotov cocktails thrown at a Dunedin house yesterday.
Senior Sergeant James Ure, of Dunedin, said a house in Otokia Rd West in Momona caught fire after two Molotov cocktails were thrown about 3.15am.
''Although the fire did not catch and cause major damage to the house, there was still some burning,'' Snr Sgt Ure said.
The resident of the house extinguished the fire, he said.
When the Otago Daily Times visited yesterday, burn marks stretched up the side of the house from the ground to the guttering.
Anyone with information should contact Dunedin police on 471-4800 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555-111.
