Flowers and tributes to stabbing victim Enere McLaren-Taana have been removed from the footpath at the Bus Hub.

Written tributes remain on the wall.

A Dunedin City Council spokesman said the decision to remove the memorial was family-led, and was supported by the Dunedin City Council and Otago Regional Council.

The memorial was removed early on Monday morning with a crowd of about 100 loved ones.

An Otago Regional Council spokesman said bus services from the stop would resume as scheduled.
