The painting depicts George St in the late '70s and includes a 1976 Leyland Leopard bus, decommissioned by the Dunedin City Council in 1993.
Mr Mead was commissioned by Chorus to decorate the box as part of a scheme to stop them being targeted with graffiti.
It was painted over two days and completed yesterday
