Leith flood protection work continues

Contractors continue work on the Otago Regional Council's Leith flood protection scheme, including on this section of the Water of Leith, just upstream from the University of Otago's Information Technology Services Building, which spans the stream.

Downer Group is the main build contractor for the latest phase of the work, between Union St and the Leith St footbridge.

Council staff earlier said adverse weather in April initially delayed this phase.
