Jucy to open in Dunedin

One of the fastest growing tourism companies in Australasia has confirmed it is coming to Dunedin.

Jucy Rentals has confirmed it will be based at Dunedin International Airport, after identifying the city as a growing destination for leisure travellers.

The deal would include rental cars and two-berth campervans, with more likely to be added in the future.

Chief executive Tim Alpe said the new branch was a welcome addition to the company's network.

"With the projected increase in visitor numbers through Dunedin International Airport, we are looking forward to establishing another successful Jucy depot in the South Island."

Dunedin Airport chief executive John McCall said the announcement was exciting, and provided an opportunity for people to start their travels from Dunedin.

It was the first time campervans would be based at the airport, and allowed people to "get right on with their southern touring experience".

Jucy is expected to open at the airport on July 4.
