Australian rocker Jimmy Barnes is coming to Dunedin later this year.

Barnes is celebrating 30 years as a solo artist by staging a four-stop tour of New Zealand, including a show at Dunedin's Town Hall on November 29.

The 30:30 Hindsight tour would begin in Hamilton on November 25, followed by shows in Auckland and Christchurch before concluding in Dunedin.

The tour, also featuring support act The Dead Daisies, would mark Barnes' 30 years as a solo artist.

Barnes will perform two of his classic albums in full, "For The Working Class Man'' and "Freight Train Heart'', among other hit songs.

Barnes' entire career spanned 40 years and has seen him become the Australian artist with the highest number of hit albums.

That included 14 Top 40 Albums for Cold Chisel, 13 charting solo albums in Australia, and ten number one songs.

Barnes has also been a regular visitor to New Zealand.
