Police are appealing for sightings of a man on a mountain bike in relation to an alleged indecent assault in the university area of North Dunedin this week.
The incident occurred at a Cumberland St property about 11.30am on Wednesday, Detective Sergeant John MacDade, of the Dunedin CIB, said.
Police confirmed yesterday a 22-year-old man had been arrested and he was due to appear in the Dunedin District Court today on a charge of indecent assault.
The victim was recovering from her ordeal, Det Sgt MacDade said.
Police wanted to hear from anyone who saw a man riding a mountain bike and acting suspiciously around the university area in recent days.
