Judy Smith was runner-up with Bliss, and Elena Simonova was third with Autumn, Mosgiel.
The portrait award was won by Ngaere Moss for her acrylic work Jessica, with David Corballis and Jude Ansbacher receiving merit awards.
More than 100 art society members entered the 136th annual awards, which were judged by Bill Graham.
The exhibition runs at The Art Station from 10am to 4pm daily until June 24.
