A "loud bang" echoed across a Dunedin suburb last night after a handbrake on a parked car failed and it smashed into another parked car.
A police spokeswoman said the locked car rolled and hit the other locked car at the intersection of Brooklyn St and Elwyn Cres in Green Island about 10pm.
A "loud bang" could be heard across the suburb, she said.
Police attended and the owners of both cars were spoken to, she said.
No-one was injured, she said.
