From galleries to the chests of Dunedin's trendiest residents, Jon Thom's artwork is making its mark on the city.
The Dunedin artist and cousin Chris Brun, with fellow resident Josh Jeffery, are behind the Moodie Tuesday fashion label, which has become known for its screen printed T-shirts of Thom's sketches and designs.
Recently, the trio acquired their own screen printing equipment and yesterday shared their creative knowledge with 50 others at Otago Museum.
Workshop attendees learned about the screen-printing process then pressed their own T-shirts.
Thom said there was value in making things by hand, and a growing demand for such products from consumers.
''It's good to see something done by hand.
''We're losing it a bit now with all the things made by machines.''
Hence the move to bring the brand's screen printing - previously outsourced - in-house, he said.
