The central Dunedin street has been without the seesaws for about a month, after they were installed in late April as part of the Dunedin City Council’s $586,000 interactive play space.
In June, the council said two of the seesaws were going to be out of action for a few weeks after a "design issue" was discovered with the internal mechanism on the larger of the two seesaws.
The largest seesaw was initially removed to allow for some changes to the mechanism. The smaller was scheduled to follow once the first seesaw was back in place.
All costs were being covered by contractors and the wheelchair-accessible seesaw had not been affected.
