A truck battery may have been responsible for a strong smell of gas at a Mosgiel property last night.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Brent Dunn said the battery had been charging at the Stedman Rd property.
Firefighters were called to the property about 7.40pm and they ventilated the building, he said.
