A "gamble" by Dunedin-based television production company NHNZ to have its website constructed by a local web development start-up company has paid off.
Loop Solutions project manager Israel Butson said the company was "surprised" when NHNZ chose the fledgling operation of three employees to overhaul the www.nhnz.tv website.
"It was our first major project, it was fantastic to get it and I think they took a gamble on us."
Mr Butson said the company began when their former employer relocated to Christchurch and "we didn't want to leave Dunedin".
Loop Solutions spent the past two months completing the website which contains footage, photos and updated stories from the NHNZ crew on assignment in various corners of the world.
"This is an every day project for us, so we will keep on updating it."
The website also features an ideas section, in which producers can submit programming ideas, and an online store.
NHNZ development and marketing executive vice-president Neil Harraway said the website reflected the calibre and creativity of the production company.
