The "Suburban Rumbler" Normanby-St Clair bus services operated by volunteer drivers of Tramway Historical Society on Good Friday and Otago Heritage Bus Society on Easter Sunday carried about 160 passengers, who paid with Easter eggs and other treats for Dunedin food banks in lieu of bus fares.

The venture was funded by a grant from the Otago Regional Council, whose Orbus services were suspended on the two holidays.
