Jayden Jesudhass (6) and Josh Rudland (7) won the hearts of locals and tourists in the Octagon this week with their busking performance.
The young musicians played for more than an hour on Wednesday, despite the fact their set list consisted almost entirely of repeats of the John Denver hit Country Roads.
"We're trying to save up to buy a proper amplifier," Jayden said.
"We want to start up a young people's band.
"But we need to get a trumpet player and a bass."
The youngsters were well on the way to their new amplifier after just an hour's playing, with more than $20 in donations in their guitar bag.
