A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said two crews from Dunedin and one from Willowbank were called to Moray Pl at 8am after reports of smoke coming from a building.
It turned out to be smoke from an electrical battery malfunctioning, and firefighters assisted with ventilating the building.
