A fire at a Dunedin coffee factory has now been contained.

Crews from seven stations attended the blaze at Cerebos Gregg's factory in Forth St this morning.

It was believed to have started in a roaster and was now contained to a couple of hot-spots in the pipework, Senior Station Officer Kerry McNamara said.

The fire had been contained and crews would now work with engineers on site.

All workers were out and accounted for, he said.

Appliances from Dunedin Central, Lookout Point, Roslyn, St Kilda, Willowbank, Port Chalmers and Ravensbourne attended the blaze.

Firefighters from Mosgiel were called to provide back-up.
