Fire crews rescue stuck horse

A horse needed the help of emergency services in Dunedin this morning after falling into a hole or mud puddle.

Firefighters from the Portobello and Lookout Point stations were called out to the incident in the Portobello area just after 8.40am, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said.

They were able to get the horse back on its feet and it was fine, she said.
