A fire at a sewage pumping station in Brighton has been brought under control.
Firefighters were called to the pumping station on Brighton Rd at 2.45pm, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said.
An electrical switchboard had set fire to the structure, and that had spread into some nearby trees.
By 3.30pm the fire had been extinguished, the spokesman said.
