A large fallen tree blocked traffic in central Dunedin this afternoon.
A Fire Service spokesman said firefighters were called at 2.50pm after a tree fell and blocked both lanes of Maori Rd.
The crew used a chainsaw to move the tree to the side of the road.
Downer contractors arrived at the scene about 3.10pm to help remove the tree, he said.
