The annual search and rescue competition involves teams of SAR volunteers having to search for, locate, treat with first aid and recover an injured or missing person from an unknown bush area using SAR-specific skills, such as sound lines, sign cutting and bush first aid.
Nine LandSAR teams from Otago and Southland competed in an all-day field competition on Saturday.
