Dunedin RSA president Lox Kellas said more than 200 people — including several World War 2 veterans — attended the Dunedin RSA Centennial Church Service at First Church.
RSA representatives travelled from Alexandra, Cromwell, Mosgiel, Palmerston, Ranfurly and Waikouaiti to attend the service.
Others at the service included representatives from the defence forces, emergency services and high school pupils.
The guest preacher was principal defence chaplain the Rev Anthony Hawes.
The RSA Choir and St Kilda Brass Band did "an outstanding job" performing at the service, Mr Kellas said.
"The service went well — it all went tickety-boo," Mr Kellas said.
