An Invercargill woman remains in a serious condition at Dunedin Hospital following a crash on State Highway 1 near Henley last week.
The 66-year-old woman was driving a Honda Jazz car north on SH1 when it and and a north-bound truck and trailer unit collided at 2.17pm on Friday.
She was taken to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition and admitted to the intensive care unit.
Senior Sergeant Darryl Lennane, of Mosgiel, said the woman remained in a serious condition.
An 82-year-old Invercargill woman also injured in the crash was transferred from Dunedin Hospital to Southland Hospital in Invercargill on Monday. She was a front-seat passenger in the Honda and her injuries were initially described as serious.
A hospital spokeswoman said yesterday the 82-year-old was in a stable condition.
The crash occurred near the intersection of SH1 and Henley Rd, at the northern entrance to the Taieri River bridge.
Snr Sgt Lennane said a serious crash investigation unit was working to determine the cause of the collision.
The truck driver was not injured.
